Né à Rennes en 1960, Simon Goubert commence l'étude du piano Il découvre la batterie dès 1970. S'en suit une série de
collaborations avec plus de 70 albums enregistrés.
Simon Goubert a été le premier batteur à recevoir le Prix Django Reinhardt de l'Académie du Jazz en décembre 1996 et a obtenu le Grand Prix du Disque de l'Académie Charles Cros 2020 pour son dernier album, " nous verrons... "
